Free Evan Michael Scrapbooking Kit

Created in loving memory of Evan Michael, the late son of a close friend.

My good friend lost her baby a few months ago and i wanted so badly to do something to comfort her, i live far away so i could not be there in person. I have a hard time knowing what to say to someone, i would much rather DO something for them... I would listen to her talk while she told me of all of the dreams she had of her son and how she had plans of decorating his room with old maps and globes a school locker and red chrome... when he was old enough.. her imaginations of what he would be like as a toddler playing with toy planes and trucks and frogs... I was in tears at her description.. then she told me of how they will be planting an 'October Glory' Maple Tree in memory of him in their back yard... I felt that was a beautiful way to commemorate him.

When a loved one loses someone it's hard to know just what to do to console them. I had no idea how to handle it personally and the only thing i could think of was to make her something. She loves traditional scrapbooking so i thought maybe i could create something especially for her to scrap the memories and emotions with. I hope no one is offended by this as a 'freebie' I decided it didn't seem right to sell it.

In Loving Memory

this kit will be a permanent freebie

Sherah,

What you are doing for your friend is so perfect!! First of all, just listening to her is the biggest thing you can do for her. She obviously feels very safe with you or she wouldn't share openly with you. It is a very good thing that she is talking about her son and the loss. It is not just a loss of a child it is also the loss of all your future hopes and dreams for that child just as you said. The kit you created will mean a lot to her I am sure. That is a very special gift! As a nurse I have worked with many grieving families but as a mom...I have been where your friend is.... Thank you for this kit

What a beautiful way to use your talent to memorialize... (that's probably not a word)

And to share it as a freebie is totally appropriate and generous.

Thanks!

So sorry for your friend's loss. It's never easy no matter how far along you are in their "life". Both my SIL & I had miscarriages which affected us. I feel this is an awesome way to help her through her pain.

Hopefully, she'll have the chance to love anothe child. [hugs]
